About Department
Our main research and teaching focus is on the development of new bioanalytical methods. We specialise in the application of mass spectrometry and liquid chromatography in diverse fields, including drug development, biomedicine, forensic toxicology, targeted and untargeted metabolomics, proteomics, pharma/biopharma, chemistry, biology, clinical research, and food sciences. Our team is multidisciplinary involving chemists, medical doctors, biologists, biotechnologists, laboratory diagnosticians, and pharmacists. We work with state-of-art mass spectrometers (Thermo Orbitrap Exploris 480, Agilent 6550 iFunnel Q-TOF LC/MS, Agilent 6470 QQQ LC/MS) and a wide range of data processing tools (Mass Hunter, Discoverer, Mass Profiler Professional, Spectrum Mill, Protein Metrics, Skyline, Simca). We perform analyses of small and large molecules (metabolites, drugs, peptides, proteins, xenobiotics) in various matrices (plasma, saliva, urine, tissues, food, and environmental samples).
